What is Moonquake? Definition Hello People, Moonquake is similar to an earthquake but it lasts for a long time up to 10 minutes. The causes of earthquake  movement in the tectonic plate but on the moon it is totally different mechanisms Types & Causes Meteoritic impacts Thermal quake Shallow quake 1. Meteoritic impacts It is caused due to the strike of meteoroids hitting the surface of the moon   2. Thermal quakes It is caused by the expansion of frigid crust by the sun's heat at 280degree C for two weeks and cool during lunar nights It is called deep quakes about 700Km below the surface  3. Hello People, Aurora is a beautiful phenomenon in nature and in physics, most of them know how aurora appears in short due to the charged particle emitted by the sun in the direction of the earth which in turn is endowed with the magnetic field of its own Now we can see why it is happening when the aurora reaches the earth, they get concentrated near the poles because of the strong axial magnetic field there.
